Real Estate Investing - Introduction
Increase Your Net Worth Through Real Estate Investing
Do you want to become wealthy? Consider real estate investing. Look at this
example: A real estate investor picks up a property for $160,000. He makes
$2500 worth of repairs, and sells the property for $250,000. His profit is
$87,500. He could have found, bought, repaired, and resold the property all
in the matter of a few months or less.
In real estate investment, it's all about equity value, which from our example,
was $87,500. The equity is figured by subtracting the cost of the purchase
and repairs from the current market value, or by figuring the amount of money
that is owed on the property substracted from the market value.
Here's a question for you: If someone offered to give you $87,500 in exchange
for $10,000, how fast would you scrape together that $10,000? It isn't a
question of whether or not you would agree to it, because only a stupid person
would disagree with that deal...it's just a question of how fast you could
get together that $10,000.
With wholesale real estate investing, this is something that you can do -
exchange $10,000 for $87,000. To do this, what you are really doing is buying
equity from another investor, at a deep discount. That other investor has
already found the property, and has a contract for that property in place.
You could literally have numerous investors around the country that you work
with. Several of them may offer you the opportunity each month to purchase
equity from them, at a deeply reduced price. This would allow you to become
very wealthy, in a relatively short period of time. In fact, you may find
that you increase your wealth anywhere from $20,000 to $100,000 on every
single real estate that you do with wholesales real estate investing.
So, how does one get started in wholesale real estate investing? There are
three ways to do this. First, find out if there is a real estate investment
club near you. Most of these types of clubs allow for networking with other
investors, who offer wholesale deals on a regular basis.
You can also watch your local newspaper and television ads, as well as
billboards, for notices that state 'we buy houses.' They may also read something
like 'sell your house in a week' or something similar. These are real estate
investors, and they often do wholesale deals as well.
Finally, when you enroll in online real estate investment courses, you will
often be emailed about local and national wholesale deals. Note, however,
that because you are not the only person being notified about these events,
you must act fast.
Think about this. It's pretty exciting to know that you can easily become
very wealthy by investing a small $10,000!
